Step 1: Install Power Pivot Add-ins
firstly, you need to open “Excel” and then goto the “File” menu and click on the “Options” and then select “Add-ins”.
Choose “COM Add-ins” from the dropdown menu and click on “Go” to save your changes.
Step 2: Enable Power Pivot Tab
Once the power pivot add-ins installed, you need to enable the power pivot in the excel ribbon.
Right click on the ribbon and select “Customize the ribbon”.
In the choose commands from drop-down menu, select “Main Tabs” and then check the “Power Pivot” box. Click “OK” to enable the power pivot tab.
Step 3: Import Data Into Power Pivot
To import data into power pivot, goto the data tab and click on the “From Text” button.
Once you click on that, it will re-direct you to the local system where you can pull your dataset.
Step 4: Pivot Tables And Pivot Charts
With power pivot, you can create pivot tables and pivot charts to analyze your data visually.
if you want to create a power pivot, than all you have to do simply goto the “Insert” tab and click on the “Pivot Table” button.
Choose the desired fields and drag them into the appropriate areas (Rows, Columns, Values) and customize the layout as needed.
Step 5: Refresh Data
Power pivot allows you to refresh your data to ensure that your analysis reflect the latest information.
To refresh the data, goto the data tab and click on the “Refresh All” button.
